Value report types and examples
There are multiple report types available for system value reporting in FactoryLogix Analytics. This topic explains each report category (product control, for example), report name, criteria, and purpose. (Use the links below to see an example of each report and/or download one or more example reports in PDF format.)

Engineering effort
Report name and example | Category | Criteria | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
Engineering effort | N/A | The actual onboarding rate of products. | |
Engineering effort | N/A | Adherence to target on a month-by-month basis (“Am I on track or not?”). Example: I have 1000 products to onboard in 10 months and I set a 100 product per month target. Month one I produced 90 products; month 2 I produced 110 products. So I can see I was below my target in month 1 and above my target in month 2—overall I am on track. This report allows executive to understand target progress and drive engineering management to achieve targets. |
Yield alarms
Report name and example | Category | Criteria | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
Yield alarms |
| How often the system is calling for action to be taken to correct yields dropping below acceptable levels. This report indicates that the system is protecting manufacturing throughput and would be a good report to combine with a rolled yield report. |
Product control
Report name and example | Category | Criteria | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
Product control |
| How often the system is preventing defective units from escaping/progressing beyond control points. This report is an indicator of solution effectiveness in protecting the business from bad quality and reputational damage with their customer base. |
Material control
Report name and example | Category | Criteria | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
Material control |
| How often the system is preventing the use of bad material or tools in time. this report is an indicator of solution effectiveness in protecting the business from bad quality and non-compliance issues. |
Operator control
Report name and example | Category | Criteria | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
Operator control |
| How often the system is preventing operators from carrying out incorrect actions and actions they are not qualified for. This report protects the business from compliance and quality issues. |
Data entry control
Report name and example | Category | Criteria | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
Data entry control |
| How often the system is preventing operators from entering incorrect values during data capture activities. This report indicates control of product measurement/data capture and preventing bad data entry. |
Batch use control
Report name and example | Category | Criteria | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
Batch use control |
| How often the system is preventing processing of incorrect/inactive batches or overproducing in a batch. This report indicates solution effectiveness in preventing overproduction and working on incorrect items, minimizing waste. |
Barcode control
Report name and example | Category | Criteria | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
Barcode control |
| How often the system is preventing barcode/serialization issues, ensuring correct registration and format while preventing duplication. This report indicates control of product serialization, protecting the business from errors and ensuring compliance with requirements. |
