FactoryLogix inventory auditing: general process
FactoryLogix Materials Management has powerful inventory auditing features to help you manage the execution of the end-to-end process for various types of inventory audit plans.
There are five areas of functionality in the FactoryLogix inventory auditing process; the following illustration shows these areas, where they occur in the inventory auditing planning process, and how they relate to each other.

Set up the inventory audit plan – This area of functionality involves creating and maintaining the inventory audit plans and associated plan properties.
Create the inventory audit plan work – This area of functionality involves the system behavior when an inventory audit plan is created, modified, or activated. Based on the details you provide, data will be sent to the different areas of functionality to execute the auditing tasks and monitor the plans and the count results of those tasks.
Assign tasks to view and enable counts - This area of functionality is where the counter has a view of all the assigned count sessions which link to the Digital Count Cards or count execution screens for the counter to enter count data.
Determine and distribute the results of assigned tasks – This area of functionality involves how the system responds when a counter enters task results. Based on the comparisons done between the result data and the current inventory, the system determines the cause of any discrepancies for an inventory plan manager to monitor through to resolution.
Administration view for plan progress, accuracy, and scheduling – This area of functionality is where a manager can see the progress of the whole inventory auditing plan, the progress, and the results of all counting tasks for a plan and determine what may require modification, resolution, or further escalation.
Note
A counter refers to a person who counts inventory items either physically or by scanning inventory items UIDs (barcodes).
