Upgrading FactoryLogix

Introduction

This guide provides instructions to upgrade the FactoryLogix® system client and server components and perform database updates using FactoryLogix Server Management.

This guide is intended for personnel responsible for the Information Technology aspects of the FactoryLogix System. 

Note

Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft supporting technologies such as Internet Information Services (IIS) and SQL Server is assumed, and therefore this guide does not contain specific installation instructions for such products. This guide does address specific settings in SQL that need to be changed to properly support and optimize the FactoryLogix system.

There are multiple phases in a FactoryLogix system upgrade. Some or all upgrade phases may take place on the same computer or different computers, depending on the selected architecture.
