Troubleshoot Microsoft Entra login for FactoryLogix

KB ARTICLE ADMINISTRATOR ON-PREMISE ONLY

Overview

Use this troubleshooting information when a user can’t log into FactoryLogix using Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) authentication, whether Entra was recently configured for the first time or was previously working and has stopped.

Check Microsoft Entra authentication

  1. Navigate to https://myapplications.microsoft.com/ and attempt to log in.

Interpret the result as follows:

  • If the link loads successfully, the Entra authentication itself is working. The issue likely lies within your FactoryLogix configuration.

  • If the link fails to load or authenticate, the issue likely lies with the Entra configuration in the Microsoft Azure Portal.

Review sign-in logs

  1. Work with your IT department to access the Microsoft Entra sign-in logs at Home > Users > Sign-in logs.

  2. Review entries for the affected user. The logs show who attempted to sign in, which application was used, the sign-in status, the IP address, and Conditional Access status.

Conditional Access failures

Conditional Access is a security policy managed by the IT department that enforces zero-trust access rules. It can require multi-factor authentication (MFA), allow or block specific applications, or deny access entirely. If the Conditional Access status shows as failed in the sign-in logs, the cause is a configuration issue with that policy. For more information, see https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/conditional-access/overview.

Resolve sign-in issues for a single user

If only one user is affected, generate a new authentication token by clearing the user's application configuration file:

  1. Navigate to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Aegis_Software\ on the user's machine, where <username> is the Windows account name.

  2. Delete or rename the user.config file for the affected FactoryLogix application.

  3. Log into FactoryLogix using a built-in account such as aegisadmin.

  4. Log out of the built-in account. The Microsoft Entra Sign-in button should now appear on the login screen.

  5. Have the user select the Microsoft Entra Sign-in button and complete the sign-in prompt.
