Universal Machine Programming Guide

Introduction

The FactoryLogix Universal machine interface (also referred to as Universal GSM) can produce properly formatted output files for a Universal machine in the following formats:

  • A formatted ASCII file that you can import as a CAD file into the GSM software.

  • A CDI file that is formatted for import directly into the machine for use by OS2 users. The CDI file contains all part number, package, feeder, and feeder location information.

  • A formatted CI2 file for Windows users and a kitting report with the generated program.

Note

To review general FactoryLogix machine programming concepts and procedures, see Machine programming overview and Machine programming general procedure.

Refer to your Universal documentation for detailed information about using your Universal machinery.
